Armpit Creatures

Last year, a friend of mine asked me to do some sketches of an armpit creature for an advertising campaign he was working on. The hard part, he explained, was making something that looked more like an armpit and less like a vagina. After multiple tries, I just started drawing vaginas.

Parasimian Ecto-Trooper

I was toying around with the idea of using this guy as the Nerd Armada mascot. Notice the "N A" on his shirt. In the end, he's just an expendable trooper. Poor fellow.

This is another piece I did for Nickelodeon Magazine. The idea is it's one of those bulletin boards you see at Starbucks, but it's at the Krusty Krab.

SpongeBob Dance Party

This is a two-page spread I illustrated for Nickelodeon Magazine a few years ago. It was a puzzle where you had to match album art with the dancer. I just supplied the black and white art; they did the coloring. There will be more Nick Mag art coming over the next few days.

Old Comic

Back in college, I did a daily cartoon strip for the school paper. It was a pretty good training ground for what I do now, and it let me get most of my really dumb ideas out of my system. This particular one helped me land my job on SpongeBob, so they said. I must have drawn it somewhere between '92-'94.

Time to start dredging up some oldies. This was doodled back in '98. I don't even know what's going on in half this picture. Serpent hand? Check. Peg-leg demon? Check.
