Vigeland Sculpture Park

One of the more amazing things I've seen, my sister and I visited this park a few years ago in Oslo, Norway. It contains 192 sculptures of more than 600 figures, including a 46 foot tall monolith, by artist Gustav Vigeland (Vee-guh-land). The monolith is a single block of stone, consisting of 121 twisting bodies. http://www.museumsnett.no/vigelandmuseet/

Here are some photos I took.

Oi!

This came about after watching a lot of The Youg Ones. The drawing isn't meant to be an exact caricature of Vivian, but I'm fascinated by his forehead piercings.

What I Just Saw at Starbucks

He was standing in the doorway, scanning the nearly empty place as if trying to locate his friend. His grey sweats had what I could only assume to be a huge pee stain. Yet he smiled at me and said hello. So I hit him. (not really)

Urban Think Tank

An unused logo I made for a friend's business.

Chef Jr.

Back in my advertising days, I worked on Chef Boyardee. They wanted an offshoot catering to younger eaters. So I created Chef Jr. Together with his dog, Rigatoni, they wreaked havok around dad's factory. The commercials, animated by Kurtz and Friends, turned out super cute. Here are some of the original character designs and storyboard.

Here are some screens from the final commercial.

We made about 3 commercials, total. There was even a little bean-bag Rigatoni made for a special promotion. But they eventually got rid of the brand. Poor Chef Jr.
I guess you could call this a precursor to Chowder.

Cartoon Carpentry

Hey, Hey It's Esther Blueberger

This is a poster I made for my good friend, Cathy. The sprinkles on the lips were all her idea. The good news is she finally got her financing and is in production right now in Australia. Let's all wish her luck!

The Outsideman

This was a poster I made for a friend who was trying to sell his con-man film. We went throught a lot of ideas before I hit on this. All the little arms make me smile.

Lucky at Cards

A student film poster I designed. Its themes are pretty straightforward: A love triangle & poker. I think those cards belonged to my grandfather.
